History bears witness to the fact that St. Mary’s Bethany Public School has come a long way from 2006 to the present day. A journey of triumph to glory from the humble beginning with 125 students and 9 teachers. Dynamic and energetic riders lead it and made it into a fully flourished institution

Our school is committed in providing an education that challenges students to become deeply and actively engaged in the pursuit of understanding, understanding of themselves, understanding of society and of the world around them. It’s our aim to make our children learned, wise and morally strong human being.

A very Good afternoon to the distinguished gathering esteemed dignitaries of the day Sri V Udayakumar Sir, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kollam. Rev. Mother Provincial Sr.Sandra SIC, Sir Ajayanath Sir ,DyspKayamkulam, Smt. P.Sasikala, Muncipal Chairperson, Smt. Renjitham, Ward councellor, Sri Sanal Sivan, Muncipal Secretary, Kayamkulam, Sri Prem kumar PTA President, parents, teaching and non teaching staff and my dear children. This report is the nut shell of all the activities during the academic year 2023-24. Academic excellence with integrity of character is our vision and the school is in its journey to glory. Academic This academic year began on 1st June by seeking the blessings of Almighty through our spiritual guide Rev. Father Francis Plavarakunnel, St.Baselious Malankara suriyani catholic church. The academic prowess of our school is proved with 100% success in class X th CBSE board examination. Sana Muhammed is our topper with 97.4%.We conduct 2 summative assessment and 3 periodic test. Class test and monthly exams are conducted regularly. Remedial classes are conducted to up bring the weak students. Annual events This year events and celebrations got its kick start with the World Environment Day celebration. Kayamkulam Muncipal Chairperson Smt.Sasikala inaugurated the event by planting the medicinal plants. Ward councillor Smt.Renjitham inaugurated the Eco club. Competitions were held. School parliamentary election was conducted on 12th July children became aware of the elections its importance and need. Master Viashnav S Kumar and Kumari Jerlin Mery Koshy was selectedas Head boy and Head girl. Teachers were given orientation classes to acquip themselves with the changes. Classes on NEP was contacted by CBSE nominated faculty. Hindi orientation class was contacted in the school. Teachers from nearby CBSE schools also attended the class. Various capacity building programs and orientation classes conducted by CBSE and Alappuzha Sahodaya were attended by the teachers. All of us do not have equal talents but all of us have equal opportunity to develop our talents Apart from academics children are given ample opportunity to develop, we care for the holistic development of each child this year sports day was conducted. All the clubs such as science , literary, heritage and arts club inauguration and competitions were conducted. Science club was inaugurated on Doctor’s day. Dr. Shiraz our alumini and Dr. Nirmala Pediatrician were the guest of Horner.

Students Orientation Class

Students are like clay. They can be molded into any form. Students of classes 9 &10 were given counseling class under the guidance of Sister Suphala

PTA

PTA plays a very important role in the developments of our school. The team was led by Mr.Sreekumar the president and Mrs. Jalaja Vice President and executive members join with the school for its smooth functioning. Meeting is conducted regularly.

Celebrations

All the important days such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayathi, Children’s Day were conducted in a grand manner. House wise competition were held during Onam, Chritmas Celebrations. Children Show cased their artistic talents. Science expo brought out the scientific talents. Baring intellectual pursuit school encourages the children to participate in various activities with in the outside school. This year our children participated in state sports meet held at Calicut.

Conclusion

It is purely the heavenly blessing that has enable us to reach such hides. Let me bow my head before the memory of Arch Bishop servant of God Mar Ivanious founter by Bethany congregation. We remember with gratitude His excellency most reverent Dr. Joshua Mar Ignathios our Patron. I thank our Mother provincial sister Sandra SIC for her loving care and support. We are thankful to all the PTA members who have displayed grate care enthusiasm for our school. Our sincere appreciation goes to the most precious of our school the children, the real reason of our smile

Coming together is beginning, living together is progress working together is success lets continue joining hands in preparing the future, to educate our students through their lives and to fulfill their dreams.
